Captain Aaron Shields was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, a small fishing village. It’s located at the mouth of the Susquehanna River, most northern town on the Chesapeake Bay.

He has been on the water since he was two and made his first catch by the age of four. His family decided to move to Citrus County, shortly after his fifth birthday to be closer to his grandparents. Living on the Tsala Popka chain of Lakes, Aaron spent much of his time fresh water fishing for Bass, Bluegill and the occasional alligator. After moving to Crystal River, Aaron discovered saltwater fishing on the Crystal River, Homosassa and Chasahowitzka River. He befriended local commercial fisherman spending time net fishing and learning about the connecting main rivers of the county, such as Ozello, St. Martins, Fish Creek Black Creek, Salt River, Sam’s Bayou, Little Homosassa and Mason Creek. With Aaron’s extensive knowledge of the county water ways, he now spends his time fishing for all the inshore species of game fish. For example Redfish, Tout, Sheepshead, Blackdrum, Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Tarpon just to name a few.
